8-year-old Genie came to us with her two pals (who have already been adopted) when her owner passed away. She is a calm, loving gal who is looking for a new forever home. She loves to go for walks and even jogs - which is impressive because sweet Genie is three-legged. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and housetrained. At only 14 pounds, this petite Fox Faced Tripod Terrier is perfect for traveling and lounging around the house. Come grant her only wish and give Genie a home today! As a senior dog her adoption fee is waived for adopters 65 years old and older and $50 for everyone else. A $5 license fee may also apply for Georgetown residents.
The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates).
Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*.
The adoption fee includes:
spaying/neutering
vaccinations (appropriate to species and age)
heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age)
de-worming medication
microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly)
There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown.
