Sasha's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Sasha's Story...
Sasha is a sweet one year old rat terrier that found herself in need a new home due to the resident dog in the home is not accepting her. Due to being bullied in her previous home, she can be reactive/fearful of other dogs when on leash or through barriers like fences but has been working on her socialization with our friends at a doggie daycare and has done quite well with dogs her size or smaller. She plays daily in small dog playgroup and would enjoy a home with another small doggie playmate with good social skills! She is house broken and crate trained. She is still jumpy since she's still a puppy but listens very well when corrected. She can be timid at first, but warms up quickly and is good with older kids.

She is approximately 20lbs, is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha, a Acushnet Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Acushnet, or seeking a Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Acushnet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acushnet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acushnet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acushnet paves the way for another one to be saved.
