Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We named Arlo after the dinosaur from The Good Dinosaur. A story about a young dinosaur who struggles with fear & insecurity who eventually finds his bravery & strength :)
Arlo was rescued along with his brother & sister who have already been adopted. All the pups in this litter were originally found on the reservation INFESTED with ticks. They were caught & brought into animal care & control where they were so scared & feral. At about 7 months old, prior to this they have had very little contact, if any, with humans.
Despite being frightened, they are not aggressive at all. They just sit there at times, frozen in fear & cower with new people. Within 48 hours they warm up drastically & once they know you they love to be by your side.
Arlo loves other dogs & is fine with kitties. He is fine with kids as well but I would say he needs older kids or very calm kids. Chaos sets him back with his progress as it can be overwhelming. He has his spurts of playfulness as he is learning to love toys :) He loves to cuddle & be loved on now that he knows human touch is not bad :)
Arlo needs someone familiar with fear dogs or someone that has the time & dedication to continue to work with him. He may always be a fairly scared dog but he needs someone that will push him & work him to continue to make leaps & bounds with his socialization.
He is about 7 months old & only 15 or so lbs so he will stay small. Maybe reaching 20-25 lbs with some weight on him :)
His adoption fee is $160. This covers his neuter, vaccines & microchip.
