FINNEGAN must Begin Again to find a forever home. His previous owner moved away and left Finn and another dog to live in his yard. They were provided with food and water, but with colder temperatures on the way, the owner asked our help with these two dogs. Finnegan is now safe at a foster home where he is stealing his foster's heart. She says he is a doll and a big softy! He gets along with most of the other dogs at his foster home and is actually afraid of the 2-pound kitten. He is a red and brown Welsh Corgi mix with charming little blue marble eyes. He is 2 years old and weighs 38 pounds. He has been vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He had a small cyst on one eye and that was removed during his neuter surgery. He tested positive for heartworm and has started the treatment needed to rid him of heartworms. He will be done with that by mid-February. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Finnegan if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received.

Our Adoption Process...

In general, there is an adoption fee of $200 which helps to cover the cost of basic veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tests, spay or neuter and microchip. If a dog has required medical care above and beyond the norm, the adoption fee could be higher. Fees are sometimes lower for certain dogs, so please inquire. If we are unable to arrange for volunteer transport for adoptions outside our area, it may be necessary for us to arrange for paid transport at a cost of approximately $140. Completion of an adoption application as well as a veterinarian reference is required. Our online adoption application can be found at www.adoptapet.com/TnDiamonds-in-the-Ruff/adoption-application/. We also have a paper application which you can obtain by emailing donnadeaner@gmail.com or call 330-760-2148 or 731-446-4013. Thanks for your interest in adopting a Diamonds Dog!
