Finnegan's Story...
Adoption Pending. FINNEGAN must Begin Again to find a forever home. His previous owner moved away and left Finn and another dog to live in his yard. They were provided with food and water, but with colder temperatures on the way, the owner asked our help with these two dogs. Finnegan is now safe at a foster home where he is stealing his foster's heart. She says he is a doll and a big softy! He gets along with most of the other dogs at his foster home and is actually afraid of the 2-pound kitten. He is a red and brown Welsh Corgi mix with charming little blue marble eyes. He is 2 years old and weighs 38 pounds. He has been vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He had a small cyst on one eye and that was removed during his neuter surgery. He tested positive for heartworm and has started the treatment needed to rid him of heartworms. He will be done with that by mid-February. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Finnegan if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finnegan, a Union City Welsh Corgi/Welsh Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Welsh Corgi/Welsh Terrier for sale in Union City, or seeking a Welsh Corgi/Welsh Terrier dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Welsh Corgi/Welsh Terrier breeders who help with Welsh Corgi/Welsh Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
