Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The first thing you notice about Ivory is the love and positive attitude that is always with her. It's surprising considering this beautiful Cairn Terrier/Maltese mix was homeless in rural Texas and out of options. But you would never know it! Ivory has a spirit that is so calming (once comfortable)...and so devoted to anyone who shows love and caring. A soft pat is so gratefully accepted...a belly rub is nirvana. Once thing that is certain is that this lovely girl appreciates all kind gestures..and returns the favor a thousand times over.
Ivory's challenging early life taught her to always give love and devotion with all her heart...and when she is acknowledged, the joy starts at her wagging tail and moves up to her expressive eyes... brimming with appreciation for even the smallest touch.
At 7 lbs and 9 - 12 months old, Ivory has a long lifetime ahead to enjoy the best of life in a permanent home. The efforts of many contributed to the rescue, foster and arrangements for Ivory to get her boarding pass to Colorado. The consensus was unanimous that this exceptional pup earned her ticket...with an engaging personality and so much love to give that it might just overflow.
Ivory's Texas foster mom said it the best, This beautiful girl with the coat that feels like cotton will easily become the love of someone's life! Ivory adores me and she even shows enthusiasm for my grumpy husband. It's not unusual to find Ivory wedged into a small spot on the couch with her adorable head on me and her body draped across my husband. We'll miss her like none other but know that Ivory will be the best friend a special Colorado family can ever imagine!
Ivory is either a non-shedding or lightly shedding girl. It's very difficult to determine this with certainty due to her shelter coat that desperately needs bathing/brushing. Once her hair grows out and with great nutrition, Ivory will have a gorgeous coat that that is shining and healthy.
Ivory will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 1/13/17. If interested in this loving and devoted best friend please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
