Tanner is a new arrival from another rescue group. He's feeling a bit insecure, and we originally thought he may be more comfortable with a confident canine companion to show him the ropes but he had issues sharing his kennel with another dog. He's lean at just over 60 pounds, but we can hopefully change that! When apprehended by his animal shelter, he was considerably underweight and he has the dry coat of a dog who spent most of his life outdoors, possibly without protection from the sun. We're seeking a home for him where he'll be part of a family and will trust that family to make him feel wanted and loved.
We are a non-profit, no-kill rescue/sanctuary specializing in dobermans but also rescuing small dogs. Most of our dogs come from animal shelters before they are euthanized and are given a second chance at a new home.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are located on a small ranch nestled in the orchards of Fillmore, ca. We are open every saturday from 11:00am-3:00pm for open house adoptions. We can arrange weekday or sunday visits by appointment as well.
Our Adoption Process...
We ask that you bring the whole family (including the four legged) so we can best match you with the right dog. Once you have found your new companion we will have you fill out a one page adoption agreement. We ask a donation of $250-$350 for a doberman and generally $150-$250 for a little dog. All dogs go home spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, with a collar, ID tag, and de-wormer.
