Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Shi (pronounced "shy"). I'm a 55-lb, 18-month old spayed female searching for a new home. I'm good with respectful children and get along with most dogs too. The sights & sounds of the countryside are all very exciting and I have "puppy energy" when I'm out exploring. I sure am having fun here! Sometimes a new object or sound will startle me and I will pause for a moment. It may seem like I'm bashful at times, but I'm learning the ropes fairly quickly. I like when people are patient with me. Even though my size is diminutive, I try my best to be a Big Girl. I think I'm doing fantastic for my first week. The volunteers here allow me to be myself and I seek to please them. My favorite thing (so far!) is being able to play ball with reckless abandon. There's a huge training room here so I can safely run around. I enjoyed showing my human friend how athletic I am. Playing like that made me feel relaxed and confident. I hope my new family likes to play fetch too.
My ideal family is one that would love me a lot, give me some time to settle in and keep me safe forever. If they have a good supply of tennis balls, that would be great too!
Ask about me today! My name is Shi.
