Harvey's Story...
Harvey is a 2-3 year old orange and white, larger framed kitty. He is very sweet and likes to be loved on. We do not know much about how he will do with other animals and/or kids because he came from a shelter but we would be glad to send him home with you for a trial period to see how he gets along with the other family members. You can meet Harvey at Petsmart in Manhattan!

All kitties go to their new owners spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and are negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $75. If you are interested in adoption or have any questions, please contact info@rchsks.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harvey, a Manhattan Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
