Maria Von Trap was rescued from an all kill shelter with her littermate just in time and then contacted our rescue to see if we could take them. They were cowering in their kennel, terrified at the shelter, and would not allow people to pet them. They learned to trust humans and now Maria is a sweet girl, who takes a little time to warm up to new people, and doesn't like small dogs yapping at her. Maria is looking for a loving family of her own. Maria is a sweet, snuggly girl and is great with dogs that are mellow and about the same size or larger than she is. She is picky about her kitty friends, so she probably shouldn't live with any. She would do best with kids over 10 because she is still unnerved by fast and loud movements. She mostly just wants to curl up on the couch with you. If you would like to meet her, www.arrowdogrescue.org/application. Her adoption fee is $275 and she is fully vetted.
