Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HOWARD is a very handsome boy, who arrived at our shelter as a stray on 1-5-17 (he was picked up as a "stray" with Castle, hmmm?). He is approximately 5 to 6 years old and is front paw declawed. Howard is a very BIG boy in the world of cats.... and he loves human attention. Upon opening his cage door, Howard comes forward, rubbing his head on your hand, purring loudly. He also loves his back scratched and meows when you stop petting him or close his cage door to move on to another cat. He loves any attention you can give him. If you are seeking a big, squishy, lap cat, with one unusual trait (he has one "crinkled tipped ear, so cute), Howard would fill that bill for you! He is calm, relaxed and loving. Please, come visit Howard at the shelter during regular cat adoption hours... guarantee you will fall in love with him.
The animals that are posted are available, unless it is stated 'adopted'. If one is 'pending' you still may submit an application in case the adoption does not go through. The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center has created a committee who reviews all applications before releasing any animal to a new home.
If you visit our homepage www.wacshelter.com where there are links to the questionnaire/application that helps us to place the animals into homes that match both the adopterâÂÂs and animalâÂÂs needs. Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center reserves the right to decline the adoption of any animal for any reason if it feels the home will not be a good match.
IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received.
Please understand that by answering the questions does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet.
We adopt to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis.
*ADOPTION FEE: Cats are $65 (cash only-sorry we can not make change) that includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine combo test. Rabies vaccine if old enough. If you are adopting a kitten or cat please bring a carrier.
Hours for Adoptions:
Monday, Tuesday & Friday from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Saturday: 10am to 2pm.
Please check our Facebook page for any special events or bonus adoption hour days.
You may email us at wacvolunteers@gmail.com with any questions.
