Fynn is a purebred black lab. We got Fynn as a new puppy and he took to training well as a hunting dog and companion. Over the years we have had to keep him more separated from our family behind a gate in the laundry room. Our home is close to the neighbors and does not have a large yard or a fence so he has been very cooped up except for the couple times a year he gets to hunt. While our 4 and 6 year old are able to give him commands that he follows fairly well, it has taken time for that to happen. He seems uneasy around our toddler who cannot command him and has even shown aggression. A month ago he was startled awake when the toddler and a gate fell over on him and he reacted with a bite. While it was not intentional, we recognize that we can no longer have him around children too young to direct him (we have another child on the way) and we cannot give h the attention and exercise he deserves. He would make an amazing companion for a family with either older children or no children and while he has been around other dogs he is familiar with, he does tend to show dominance and would likely be better off as the only dog.

Fynn is an amazing hunting dog with most of his experience in duck although he has also hunted pheasant and some goose. He really enjoys the water because of this too.

He does have a small fatty tumor on his stomach that is of no concern at this time. We had the vet take a look at it less than a month ago.
