DIESEL is a 10 month old neutered chocolate male Lab who weighs 51 pounds. Diesel is a happy and outgoing young pup. He went to a foster home in WV and did well with the dogs he met. He will go after chickens and chase cats. He has a very loving and caring personality and loves to be with his humans. He loves to snuggle up for movie night and is good with kids. He loves to fetch and loves to play with toys and other dogs. This kid is looking for someone who wants to have fun with him. Back in September, his previous owner was cutting down a tree and it rolled on Diesel’s back legs, so he had to have hip surgery. He has recovered well and will need a family who will continue with his rehab for another month or two and introduce him slowly to more strenuous exercise. He is approved for kids 10+. Update: Diesel is a adorable 10 month old SILVER male lab. He has finished his rehab and now is with his FM to take slow walks and build back up the muscles in that left leg. He is an enthusiastic puppy that loves toys, is crate trained, and sleeps through the night. He is a still in his chewing stage. He loves to play!!! He will be practicing his leash skills and learning some commands this week. Watch Diesel play with toys in the video.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound) Adopters must travel to Maryland, Virginia or Washington DC with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.
Lab Rescue LRCP has between 50 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a home visit is required.
