Gusto is a 3 year old, neutered, Male German Shepherd Dog in search of a new home and family to fall in love with!
Gusto is a large, strikingly handsome male with very strong bloodlines. In terms of disposition, Gusto strongly displays traditional GSD traits -- he is confident, assertive, very alert with solid drive, but also is super playful and sweet. Gusto will make an excellent family pet and pack protector. In terms of socialization with other animals, he could be paired in a home with a female of decent size, but much preferably one on the submissive/passive side. This would be a situation that would need to be structured and supervised, though, as Gusto is a large, dominant male, who will need strong, assertive leadership to ensure he maintains proper manners going forward. Continued proper socialization is something Gusto needs to continue working on moving forward.
Overall, there is no question this is a fantastic animal, that will make a tremendous addition to the right home. We are looking for adopters living in detached homes, with fenced yards, preferably with some room to roam. No kids, no male dogs, no small dogs, and no cats. Gusto does not have bad history, but he is a large, powerful male, with an alpha disposition. He's not a starter dog, so we prefer adopters with strong previous experience with GSD's or other power breeds. Gusto's adoption includes our Lifetime Training package, so we will be happy to continue being a part of his development moving forward, and always prefer adopters who are excited about investing time in training.
