My name is Nellie. I am about 7 years old and my friends think that I may be a Catahoula Leopard Dog-Australian Shepherd mix. I was really sad because my family moved and took me to a shelter—not sure why they didn’t take me with them. Then I was even sadder because, while everyone at the shelter told me what a good girl I was, and patted and played with me, they kept walking adopting smaller or younger dogs. I really don’t know why, nor does my foster mom, who says I’m the perfect dog. I was SO happy to move in with her. She tells everyone I’m a perfect dog, and, at about 45 pounds, the perfect size. She also says I am just the sweetest, most easy-going girl you will ever meet. I am perfect on leash and I just refuse to use the bathroom in the house—that would not be ladylike. I was so happy the day I moved into a foster home. I love everyone, and will happily give all of my love to you if you want me to join your family.
