Midge was a stray from animal control.
ABOUT:
Midge is a very friendly high energy girl. She gets to go for a run and multiple walks each day and has perfect leash manners when she has her easy-walk harness on. She loves other dogs and is being fostered in a home with a senior doberman. She loves him, but sometimes she goes a little overboard and he needs to correct her. She is very accepting and reacts very appropriately when he needs to tell her to calm down. She does constantly try to convince him to play with her so she would love to be adopted into a home with another energetic dog. Midge is not a barker and would be appropriate for city-living. She loves to sit and look out the window but never barks at anyone or anything.
Midge is very affection/attention motivated and is studying to be her foster mom’s shadow. If she sees her doberman foster brother getting attention she runs over like: “MeToo! MeToo! MeToo!” and pushes her way to the front of the line. Midge is housebroken and crate trained. She is also very food motivated, girl loves her snacks.
Midge will need to be adopted to a home who appreciates her high energy level. She won’t be happy (and neither would the adopter) if she is adopted into a less active house. Midge is very friendly with kids (she’s very friendly with everyone!), but gets mouthy when she gets excited and worked up so she would be best with older children until she can be broken of that bad habit. When she recently met a 10 year old who isn’t wild about dogs she tried to climb into his lap a few times, but did respond to and respect his corrections.
Her foster mom can’t say enough good things about her. If you’re looking for an active, well socialized, happy, friendly, outgoing girl Midge might be perfect for you!
