My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy posting:

Ollie is one of the sweetest dachshunds you will ever meet. His whole life is one of love, friendliness and acceptance towards other dogs, cats and, of course, people. He's a real lover. He's also completely healthy, loves to take long walks on a leash, run in the yard and explore, and ride in the car. He is crate-trained but can use some additional work on complete house-breaking as he's always had free access to a back yard. He does require a regular tooth brushing (@ 3 times a week) or he can be subject to quick tartar buildup otherwise. He loves his chicken-flavored toothpaste.

Ollie has competed twice in the races held by Dachshund Rescue of Houston. He loves being around lots of other dogs and people in social settings. He received basic training at City Canine in 2008 and still knows and obeys the basic commands.

Ollie was rescued by his foster dad eight years ago when he found out Ollie was running loose in a neighborhood and was at risk of getting into traffic. He has lived happily in Woodland Heights ever since. The only reason he's available for adoption now is that his current family would like for him to have a loving family and home where he can receive more attention and exercise than they are now able give him.

If you'd like to have more information on Ollie and/or would like to meet him, please contact his dad Dan at florestan100@hotmail.com or at (713) 591-4723 for more information and to set up a meet and greet.

Our adoption fee is a $200.00 donation to Pup Squad Animal Rescue. Our adopted dogs are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. If you are interested in adoption, please go to www.pupsquad.org/adopt to read more about our policies and find our application. Applications should be submitted to adoption@pupsquad.org or via the online form.

We are happy to transport our dogs out-of-state as we have lots of experience doing this and love to see our dogs to the best homes possible! We will assist with the whole process to getting your new pet to you. Feel free to email us regarding availability or any other questions. Please remember all breed estimates are just that...estimations based on our experience. NOTE: We will only do transport if the dogs are 4 months of age or older as this means they are fully vetted and spay/neutered at this age.

Thank you for choosing to rescue an animal in need!
