Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SASHA is a little doll, despite the many obstacles she has faced. She was suffering from a very painful gum infection and could barely eat by the time we got her. With the help of Pound Pals Downriver, we were able to get the dental work done that she needed. She is about two pounds underweight and needs a hero looking for a cat to coddle. Sasha - has been with us since early January, 2017 - previous owner passed away. She is FIV+, a beautiful gray DSH, who is very friendly now that she is feeling better physically. Sasha doesnt seem to mind when dogs are walked thru the cat room. She would really enjoy a new family to love her, one she could call her own.
The animals that are posted are available, unless it is stated 'adopted'. If one is 'pending' you still may submit an application in case the adoption does not go through. The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center has created a committee who reviews all applications before releasing any animal to a new home.
If you visit our homepage www.wacshelter.com where there are links to the questionnaire/application that helps us to place the animals into homes that match both the adopterâÂÂs and animalâÂÂs needs. Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center reserves the right to decline the adoption of any animal for any reason if it feels the home will not be a good match.
IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received.
Please understand that by answering the questions does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet.
We adopt to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis.
*ADOPTION FEE: Cats are $65 (cash only-sorry we can not make change) that includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine combo test. Rabies vaccine if old enough. If you are adopting a kitten or cat please bring a carrier.
Hours for Adoptions:
Monday, Tuesday & Friday from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Saturday: 10am to 2pm.
Please check our Facebook page for any special events or bonus adoption hour days.
You may email us at wacvolunteers@gmail.com with any questions.
