My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING FOR A FAMILY THAT NEEDS TO REHOME THEIR PET. PAWS IS ASSISTING BY POSTING THIS ANIMAL ON OUR WEBSITE. THIS ANIMAL IS NOT IN THE PAWS FOSTER SYSTEM.

Annabelle is 1 of 4 cats I am fostering and have put up for adoption.
I have had Annabelle in my home since Aug. 2016.
Two years ago a stray cat showed up in our yard and we began feeding her.
She became pregnant, and of her 4 kittens, only 2 survived.
They were all still hanging around the yard, and winter was fast approaching, which worried me because I could not get very near to them. So I bought them an outdoor cat shelter with a low-voltage heater and put it on our deck so they would be safe from predators. They made it through the winter just fine and the babies grew into beautiful kitties. One was black and white, just like her mother. The black and white one is Annabelle. The other one is all black, and that one is Isabella, also posted on this website. We trapped all 3 of them, and gave them all excellent veterinary care.
It was obvious mommy was not happy indoors so after 2 weeks we released her, after of course getting her fixed!
However, both Annabelle and Isabella showed very positive signs of being able to be socialized. We were right!

Annabelle turned out to be the outgoing one. She just loves to romp all over the house.
One of her favorite pastimes is sitting in windows and watch the world outside, especially of course birds. She is also very mischievous and loves crawling under my comforter and teasing my dog Pepper. She also teases Pepper by hiding under the dust ruffle at the edge of the bed and darts around under it playing tag with Pepper. They literally wear each other out! Annabelle also loves to get groomed by Pepper. She just wants to be friends with everyone, even if they don’t want to be friends with her. My cat is a bit of a Princess, and that’s why we cannot have any more cats in our house. She rules the roost!

Annabelle also loves her cat tree we bought her on Black Friday. She like to play with my feet in bed. She gets along well with other animals, is litter box trained, spayed, is negative for leukemia, has been dewormed, and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She likes both dry and canned cat food. However, keep in mind, it will take her some time to warm up to a new person, so just be patient. She may hide at first.
