Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR WELCOMES TIMBER INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!
Timber is a 1 yr. old male German Shepherd whose family moved and decided he wasn't going. Discarded dogs for everyday
Life Events is common here. Yeah, we don't get it either. Yes we have good pet owners here in the south, but disturbingly,
we have enormously high numbers of lousy pet owners and those who feel a family member is disposable.
Timber is a sweetheart, energetic Teenager who will benefit from some obedience work and manners. He has some manners but needs continuing education to help him get to his PHD!!! IDGSR loves when our dogs become highly educated, we hear all the time
'how smart they are' well yes, we know that, but giving them a PHD makes them stand head and shoulders above the others. Advanced obedience work is a must for any Shepherd so you can have a great bond with your dog, enjoy your dog and be proud of your dog otherwise he/she will become a juvenile delinquent just as human children can be without discipline, education and encouragement to do the right things. IDGSR wants that for our dogs. Timber has a lot of love to give and he is looking for a pet parent who is willing to lead him and guide him. He will do great with an energetic female large breed dog. He does get along great with all dogs here however we feel it is beneficial to do opposite sex adoptions for best harmony in the home, meaning he needs a gal pal. He will do fine as the only dog as well however lots and lots of socialization with both people and other dogs is also necessary in order to make Timber be a well rounded fella.
If you would like to apply to adopt Timber, please put an application in on our website by copying and pasting the link below.
