Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This picture is from the day that Pierce (now Blue) arrived in rescue. We're not sure who was happier that day...his foster or him!
Have you ever just wanted to feel like you made a difference in the life of someone else? Then this is your boy! Before Pierce arrived at the rescue...he was used as "hunting equipment"...he didn't know love, he didn't know how good life could be. He only knew how to be used for a purpose. Used. Not loved.
Pierce carries the scars of his previous life...quite literally. At his shoulder you'll see a wide, long healed wound...from his encounter with a bear. Even through things like this...this boy has not lost his ability to love and be silly. He can be found in all types of positions laying on the couch....even sprawled out on his back like a mutant. He's VERY comical!
Everyone who has met Pierce has loved him. Absolutely adored him. We are looking for a specific family for him. He would be best suited in a home that is active. He will need some extra lovins and patience because he's still learning to be a house dog. Everything you do with him will be a new experience. You're going to make the world of difference....for him!
Pierce is good with other dogs and kids. He absolutely adores kids! He loves adults...and has never met a stranger. He is completely vetted: vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, wormed, and on 3 months of flea/tick prevention and hw prevention.
