Polly's Story...
Polly was brought to us and was never reclaimed by her owners. She has been at the shelter for almost 2 months, making her the longest resident we have at MCAS! Polly has been looking for a forever home since she was brought in and still she has been over-looked. She is about 1-2 years old and has lots of energy so will need someone active to help her burn some of the energy she has. She would benefit from some dog obedience classes, she pulls hard on leash which could also be from her energy levels. Polly is not benefitting from the kennel-craze, she needs to find a home! If you would be interested in giving this sweet gal the chance, stop in and ask to meet her today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polly, a Troy Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Troy, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
