Erik & Annika's Story...
Erik and Annika are a gorgeous pair of six-year-old very bonded feline siblings looking for a loving home together. These gorgeous cats must be orange tabby/ragdoll-mixes because of their longer plush fur and beautiful blue eyes. They have tested positive for the feline leukemia virus, so they are looking for a home with no other cats ... or with another cat carrying the same virus. Erik is a social butterfly. He enjoys being brushed and this handsome boy is friendly and social. His sister Annika is extremely shy and hides behind her big brother. When you approach them, Erik comes forward to gather all the attention so his sister won't be bothered. They are quite the pair ... and he is beautifully protective of his beloved shy sister. They are pleasant housemates who use their litter box and scratching post. They are healthy, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed and treated for fleas. To meet and possibly adopt this magnificent duo, please contact Yvette at ympina@gmail.com or 773-968-9477. Their adoption fee of $100 as a pair goes toward rescued cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Erik & Annika, a Chicago Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
