Abby & Audi's Story...
Do you have a little bit of room in your home for this precious senior bonded pair? Audi, a 9 year old neutered Chihuahua, and Abby, a 9 year old ShihTzu, are best friends. They are little sweethearts and would love nothing more than to live out their golden years together. Audi and Abby would most likely do well with other dogs! They do seem to prefer smaller dogs that are around their size. They both have done really well with the office cat. Abby and Audi seem to enjoy being around children, too! They both have such adorable personalities and love to be near you. Audi tries to climb up in your lap and as soon as Abby sees, she tries to do the same! They will curl up in a little doggie bed together - it is so precious! We are keeping an eye on them given that they are older. Abby's teeth may need some attention but so far they both seem quite healthy! You really would have no idea that they are 9 years old! We would love to see these seniors in a forever home as soon as possible. Are you their forever family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby & Audi, a Michigan City Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
