My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**ADOPTION PENDING***

Meet Chilli!

... all 7 pounds of him!
Our smallest foster to date yet, he runs the show!  There is a lot of personality packed into this tiny body and someone who can understand that and meet his needs is what we are searching for in a forever home.

Toys are not his thing but snuggles and scratches are!  He will be in your lap all the time if you allow it but with some confidence building and encouragement he has come quite a long way in just month.  He walks the pet store and picks out treats and is much more comfortable around peoples feet than when he first arrived.  He is apprehensive of new people for a minute or two and meets them best while in your arms.  Being all the way down on the ground is quite concerning for him being he is so small.  He is fantastic with those who are patient and understanding of his size.  He does show signs of unease if you come at him too quickly and he is cornered., For this reason, no homes with children under the age of 12 (living in or visiting) will be considered.  Otherwise, he has no issues with being cuddled, picked up or handled.  Chilli likes other dogs but does not seek out play or attention from them.  He has not met cats while in our care but let's face it, the cats are bigger than he is and his timid personality indicates that he would be fine.

Chilli is UTD on shots, neutered, microchipped and recently had several teeth and a growth removed and his remaining teeth cleaned.  Nothing concerning just typical small dog dental care.  His breath is so much better now!  :)
