Miss Sophia's Story...

Miss Sophia has had a rough go at life in her 5 years. She was brought in by a Good Samaritan who noticed her hanging around outside for awhile. All of her teeth were rotting and had to be pulled. One of her eyes was so badly infected that it had to be removed. Despite having no teeth and only one eye, she is a sweet, playful petite girl. She gets along with both dogs and cats (with proper introduction). Adoption Fee: $100 Includes spay/neuter, microchip and rabies/distemper vaccines. Miss Sophia can be visited at: Guardian Angel Veterinary Care 873 Thornton Pkway Thornton, CO 80229 720-600-7555 www.gavccolorado.com

Adoption applications can be found at: www.friendsoftodd.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss Sophia, a Denver Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Denver, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
