Poe's Story...
Poe and his brother Rondo were born on New Year's Day 2016. They had been at a shelter their whole lives until I got them. They did not even know what I squeaky toy was or how to play when I first brought them home. They are doing great walking on a leash. They will sit on command. They both are very good about coming when called and do not run off. They LOVE playing with squeaky toys now and especially their duck! These boys have come a long way and would be excellent family pets. They are a bit cautious and will probably take a little work to adapt to city life with cars and traffic noises. They play well with other dogs. They are fully vaccinated and neutered. I would love to keep them together so if you have room for two dogs, please let me know!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poe, a Harrisburg Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Harrisburg, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Harrisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
