Clara's Story...

Hello, darlings. I'm Miss Clara and I'm just as sweet as I look in these pictures.  All I really want is to cuddle with you and seriously how can you resist that?

Anyway, I'm around 7 years old, which in dog speak that's considered to be a "senior". Personally, I don't like such labels, but if you want to label me as something then you can start with "calm", "quiet", and "ridiculously sweet". (Just to name a few)

I wasn't crazy about my male foster brother, but that might just have been first date jitters. I love my foster sister though and my human foster people kids! I do great in my crate and I'm house trained, too. Likes: Bananas, Baths Dislikes: Brooms, Barking

If you think you might like to adopt Clara or one of our other dogs, YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ONLINE APPLICATION at It does not commit you to adopting. Every dog adopted out by MTBR must be an inside dog. There are no exceptions! DISCLAIMER: Dogs have been observed while in the rescue program, and appear to be of stable temperament. However, it is not possible to test dogs under all circumstances, so caution should be used in new environments, especially involving young children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clara, a Brentwood Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Brentwood, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Brentwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brentwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brentwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brentwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
