My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is a cute Schnauzer Mix. He weighs around 15 pounds and was born about late June 2015.

Tucker was first spotted being abused by a woman who then proceeded to kick him out of the car and drove off. A little boy in the neighborhood who heard his cries and witnessed this incident, took him home and chained him in his backyard. He meant well and just wanted to help. Tucker, however, was not doing well being chained and lost a lot of weight and also had developed an open wound around his neck from trying to get away. One day that little boy reached out to us and asked if we could help Tucker. Of course we could!

Tucker has been recuperating in a lovely foster home with other fur siblings and he couldn’t be doing any better. He is thrilled with his new gig and can barely contain his excitement. His foster mom is just as excited about sweet little Tucker. He has adjusted quickly to being an inside dog and is a total love bug. They are working on potty training but he is already crate trained and will come when called off leash.

Tucker’s foster mom describes him as very submissive with an average energy level. Tucker is a bit shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly and also does well with respectful children. He is great with dogs but may growl at larger dogs initially. Once he realizes they are no threat, he is all about playing silly games.

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas. At the end of January 2017 he will be available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.

We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.

The adoption fee of $200 covers neuter, microchip and current vaccines.

Please apply to adopt Tucker online at www.corridorrescue.org.
