Happy's Story...

Apart from my happy, exuberant personality, I’m a bit of a mystery in that not much is known about me, really. All the more for you to find out! While I still do look handsome in my photos, they don’t quite do me justice, and you really ought to meet me in person to decide how awesome I actually am!

On a more serious note, there are some memories of my past but they’re rather bleak so I prefer not to talk about them much, but here it goes: Over two years ago, someone found me being left to fend for myself in a back yard. They brought me food but eventually I was confiscated to the pound. Earlier last year I got out, went to doggie boot-camp but then ended up back in boarding where I still am. I really long for a home I can call my own. Despite my size, I don’t need much. A dog bed would be nice… oh yes, and someone who will love me!

If you are interested in meeting Happy, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.

[Happy is 4 years old and weighs 65 lbs.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Happy, a Marina del Rey Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
