Melanie is a female Bichon Frise mix approximately 4 years old. She has a thick, very soft, fluffy coat of snow white curls that are non-shedding. Our groomer commented on what a luxurious, beautiful coat she has. Melanie is a perfect size at 15 pounds full grown. She is a mild mannered, quiet, sweet and very loving dog. Melanie is all girl, very gentle and willing. She comes when she is called and has a ladylike, demure way about her. Her indoor manners are impeccable and she is completely housebroken. Melanie is a lover of peace and only wants to please. She can be adorably shy at first, not sure of people and their intentions and is quite submissive. When Melanie gets comfortable, her delightful, kind personality is on full display as she eagerly wags her tail and looks up innocently at you. The fastest way to Melanie's heart is through treats which she absolutely adores and will do anything for. She is a good eater and an easy keeper. Melanie walks well on leash and will stay close to your side out and about. She rides silently in the car and although she loves the companionship of people, she is never demanding or insistent. She has a lot of patience and will wait until she is invited over. As you can see from her pictures, Melanie only has one eye. She was rescued from the shelter where she was brought in as an emergency after being hit by a car. Her eye was destroyed in the accident and Melanie underwent surgery to remove her damaged eye. She is still adjusting to life with one eye and will navigate carefully around her environment. Melanie has been through a lot and has had a traumatic past, but she is most definitely one of the sweetest, most affectionate dogs you will ever meet. No doubt she will be completely loyal and devoted to a family that loves and cares for her properly. Melanie is great with other dogs but isn't really playing yet. She would thrive in a gentle, quieter home where she can blossom and feel secure. Melanie has been vet checked and is healthy. She is ready for her new forever home today!
Melanie’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
