Zaza's Story...
This sweet little rat terrier/chihuahua came in from the shelter with a skin condition and two tiny puppies. Her skin and coat now look great and she is just the nicest dog. She loves to curl up in a doggie bed or on the couch. She gets along wit everyone, seems to be very well house trained is approx 2 years old and 10.8 lbs. She is going to make a great best friend for someone. Since she likes to be treated gently, we would like a household with adults and older children.

The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zaza, a Norwalk Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
