My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings - I’m Finn! I love my new life! When I first got here I didn’t even know I was a dog! It sounds nuts I know. Let me back up and tell you the story. Two months ago I was left on the side of the road in box with only a blanket. From there I met nice person after nice person and ended up here. They took care of me and now my skin is healed, my hair has grown back and I gained some much needed weight.
I am so happy, being a dog is awesome! I get to hang out with the resident dogs in my foster home, who are very diverse in age and size, and they are awesome. We get to play in the snow, and run around the yard. I also get to meet all kinds of other friends wherever I go and I love everybody! My foster mom says I am a happy, goofy guy that loves life and loves to be loved. I think she summed it up pretty well. I just love to give love to everybody! With a medium energy level my foster mom says I am good at adapting my energy to who i'm playing with.
I also love my squeaky toys and snuggles! I get to snuggle with everybody on the couch during the day and at night in foster moms bed. I have been eating and getting treats in my crate and sometimes stay in there while foster mom is gone. I don't really love it but it's okay when I get treats. I love treats so learning how to be on a leash is coming along well too. Peanut butter.....yum! I haven't met any cats or kids yet but I don't see why I wouldn't like them. I heard that I get to meet a cat next week!

Life is pretty great at my foster home but my life would be complete if I could share my awesome doggyness with a family that loves me. Are you that family? I sure hope so! Please help me find that home by spreading the word. Did I mention I'm cute?!

Finn is estimated to be 10 months and 27 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed.

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.

We are also having an adoption event at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, located at 783 Harding St. NE, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55413 on Saturday, February 18, from 12-2pm. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
