My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ru adores other dogs of all shapes, sizes, and genders. If you've ever considered adoption with the purpose of getting your lonely dog a friend, then Rubix is the dog for you. He likes rambunctious dogs as well as calm ones. Rubix isn't happy unless he has a canine companion. He does well with cats too!

Ru is shy. Ru shows his affection with tail wags and big smiles. He shows it by nudging you with his nose or sitting shot gun in the car. Earning affection from Ru is very rewarding, but he's not the dog for everyone. He would do best in a home without young children because loud noises and sudden movements will spook him. He would love someone who loves the outdoors. He's a water dog all the way. Car rides, long walks, running in the woods, dog parks, and cheese are some of his favorite things. He is 6-7 years old and according to his foster is like a "60 lbs cat". We know Ru will continue to grow and flourish in a loving, forever home.

All our dogs are located in foster homes in Georgia and we adopt them to loving homes in the Northeast. Transport, spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, and microchip are included in the adoption fee. Once adopted, transport arrives every Saturday to a location near you.
