Brutus's Story...
We were contacted over the weekend & asked to share this boy's story in hopes of finding him a new home. Brutus's owner was facing health issues & could no longer care for Brutus or his sister. A family member took them both in but then sadly let them out. The sister kitty has not come back, but Brutus was found & taken to boarding where he currently resides. Located near Charlotte, NC, he is a big boy, approx. 6 years old & is fully vetted. He does have a slight heart murmur & is being treated for a urinary infection, which he probably got due to the recent stress & sudden changes in his life {poor guy}.

Since he came from a quiet home we are seeking the same in a new home. If you think Brutus might be a good fit into your family please contact us. Boarding is no place to live long term & we're sure he would love to be loved once again.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Monroe Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
