Hazel's Story...
Hallie is a sweet, six year old, 24 lb sheltie. Likes' men but she will warm up to anyone who's kind if you give her a slow introduction. Would be best for a younger person who is able to exercise her, a experienced dog person. She'd be great at agility, she needs a job to keep her interested, but she's not a dog who cares about toys over humans. Kids and cats she doesn't like, they move to fast and are too unpredictable for her. She needs room to run in a non smoking home with big yard with a person or persons who is home most of the time. She is a alpha personality so she might get along with a dog she's properly introduced to as long as they are not a alpha female dog. She needs that relationship where she's built trust with her people. She's housebroken and just a sweet companion. She is six years old. If you can foster her or interested in adopting her call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Ypsilanti Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Ypsilanti, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Ypsilanti.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ypsilanti already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ypsilanti breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ypsilanti paves the way for another one to be saved.
