Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Duke came to us from a dog pound where his sister went into labor. She moved to a rescue who could care for the mom and babies and we kept Duke. Unfortunately both dogs were never socialized with humans and they are fearful of new people. Duke is 30 lbs, has been given full vet care and is approx. 3 years old. Duke must be adopted by experienced dog owners and an adult only home within 30 miles of Avon to continue his work with his trainer. Another confident well adjust dog in the household will be great too for his confidence building. He loves other dogs. UPDATE 6/27 from foster home: Duke has really come out of his shell and gained confidence quite quickly! While wary at first, he easily (within two days) bonded with both me and my husband and has become very affectionate with both of us! His dog social skills are phenomenally savvy, he gets along with all he has met. Duke loves to have fast "zoomies" in our fenced back yard. He also exuberantly plays in water, earning him the nickname "Ducky"! His human social skills are coming along very nicely. Ducky has been introduced to many people in my home and on walks and has done very well with everyone. Overall, he has been a very sweet, affectionate, energetic, quirky, and mostly silent (hardly ever barks!) house guest. The fact that he has manged to fit in so well into our multi- dog, somewhat irregular work schedule home gives us faith that he will be able to adjust well into a forever home.
