Cooper's Story...
It will be a very sad day here at the rescue when we say goodbye to Cooper. He is without a doubt the best dog we have ever had. Cooper was an owner surrender. They got him as a puppy and just left him outside and never paid any attention to him. The neighbors asked if they would surrender him and they did. The neighbors brought him to us and he has truly been a joy but it's his time for a forever home. Cooper is approximately 14 months young, he is neutered, micro-chipped, crate trained, house broken and up to date on all of his shots. As you can see by his pics, he just loves his little dogs and his cat! He also has a great smile but he wouldn't cooperate while the camera was running. Usually as soon as you call his name, he smiles!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper, a Brattleboro Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
