Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet adorable Hurley! Hurley about three years old and around 15 pounds. Hurley was left at a local shelter on a freezing cold morning in a crate at the end of the shelters driveway. Hurley wasn't able to walk on his hind legs. The shelter took X-rays and found no broken bones or spinal damage and after some rest Hurley is now walking, running, playing and is just fine. Hurley wasn't doing well in the shelter atmosphere and needed a foster home and a rescue who could work with him. You see Hurley is a bit fearful at first when he is in a new environment and can nip. Its like PTSD really. Therefore we are working with him to get through his fears. Hurley will do well in a home without children or cats. He likes other dogs, loves walks, car rides and his squeaky toys. Hurley can be possessive of the person with whom he bonds so we are working on that issue with him. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. He does like to snuggle once he trusts no one is going to hurt him. A seasoned dog person would be best for dear Hurley to continue the training he is currently getting in foster. An ideal home environment for Hurley would be a single dog savvy, assertive woman with no other pets with opportunities to go for walks, car rides and be active.
Every dog has been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, flea/tick treated, de-wormed, and received rabies, bordetella and distemper/parvo vaccines. All dogs have had a recent visit to the vet as well.
adoption fee is $350
