Chase is a beautiful pup at 4 1/2 years old, but is still a puppy at heart. He is quickly learning what it means to be loved and shown affection. He is a very smart boy and has already mastered sit and down and is working on giving paw. He loves to chew on toys and loves to play. His new owner will need to continue his training and work on his leash manners. He has come a very long way in time he has been in rescue and needs an experienced sheltie owner to continue to work with him and an owner that understands the herding breed. He is a little shy when first meeting new folks, but warms up quickly.
Chase would do best as the center of someone’s universe or maybe share it with one other laid back doggie. His new Mom and Dad have to be committed to showing this precious boy how wonderful life can truly be. Chase is a bigger boy at 43 pounds and is house trained and takes his treats with such a very soft touch.
Chase will need a home with no children, as he has not grown up around kids nor has he been socialized with children. We don’t know how he does with cats since there aren’t any in his foster home.
Chase will need a secure FENCED in yard as he likes to explore and play. No exceptions on the fenced in yard requirement. Chase is being fostered in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
