My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NINA is a 1 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 49 pounds. Jan 23, 2017: Nina is a happy, smart, high energy, and gentle girl. She is affectionate, but does not lick. She likes to cuddle, sleep beside you in bed, and likes kisses on her head. She is housetrained, and she will let you know she needs to go out by putting her paw/leg on you and pulling, as if to say: Lets go! She has not been crated, she has had the run of the house with my 3 dogs. She is a typical high energy, young dog. She has become wrestling playmates with my Chi/JRT boy, and Nina does not hurt him, she rolls over and lets him be the big guy. After a 15-20 minute wrestling session or some fetch time outside, or some tug-o-war while watching TV, she is then content to lay down. She likes to be wherever you are - in the floor next to a recliner, in the kitchen floor while cooking, or relaxing beside you in bed. She prefers squeaky toys over tennis balls. She did fine walking on the leash. She needs a physical fence Nina knows how to sit. She needs room to romp and play and run. She can be shy in new situations and when meeting new people, but she warms up fast. Nina is approved for kids ages 10+

Update: Nina is a 1 year old, dainty little princess who loves to be within a paw's reach of her people. She has lovely house manners and kindly asks to go out with a paw on your knee. She knows her commands and will come, sit, lay down just for the praise, no treats needed! Nina is bit skittish in new places and takes a second to warm up to strangers but would love to make your house her home. When she's not snuggled into a petite little ball of fur she holds her own playing with her brute of a foster brother - then goes right back to snuggling and asking for belly rubs.
