Mercedes is a lovely German Shorthair Pointer/ Lab mix is our best guess. She was surrendered to an over crowded shelter in Southern Illinois at 6 years old and sadly she is heartworm positive. SHE IS SO NICE!!!! Miss M knows sit, comes when called and also gives Pointer hugs. She is so sweet and affectionate and is going to make an amazing forever companion. She is doing GREAT with our heartworm slow kill program and should recover nicely. Miss M is now in her temporary foster home but we need a new place for her ASAP. We have moved most of our heartworm positive dogs into foster to adopt, so please message me privately if you would like learn more about that.
