Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This tiny chihuahua is approx 4-5 years old and 5.8 lbs. She is super tiny!! She is just the sweetest little girl who doesn't want to be alone and just wants to be wherever you are, She is the ultimate lap dog and will sleep right at your head, She gets along well with the other dogs but can be a typical diva and a little snippy if they try to take over her place on your lap. She does ok on a harness. If you put her outside as soon as you get up she potties outside. Her adopter will need to keep her on a routine, but she learns pretty quickly. We prefer an older family since she is too tiny and timid. She is a great companion for someone that needs a little friend
The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. The application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
