Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB January 3, 2012.
This cute tabby calico is a cat to warm your heart! Abby is affectionate and gentle and a perfect cat for a first time cat owner or someone who already has another cat.
Abby takes a bit of time adapting to new surroundings, and might try to show you all the great hiding spots in your home when you first bring her home. So like most cats, it’s best to let her out in just one room at first until she feels more secure.
Once Abby is comfortable in her surroundings, she’ll show you the love bug she truly is. One of her favourite things is to be petted. She will rub against your ankles, hands, and even your face to get you to keep petting her! She’ll also give you love bites if you pet her long enough. Abby will be very happy to sleep with you at night. Her favourite blankets are fleece, and her foster family’s 12-year-old believes she has trained Abby to sleep on one of two fleece blankets at night... though it’s possible that Abby has trained her!
Abby is okay with older kids, but is afraid of loud noises, or when people move too fast, including adults (she does not attack, she just hides). When Abby first came to her foster family she hid a lot, but week by week she keeps settling in.
Abby’s favourite play toy is a person with a string (like a shoelace) and she’s happy to pounce on the string and play with you. She also loves to eat...treats or just her regular food...she can easily be bribed with food! Because of her love of food she can’t be “free fed” and her food needs to be limited.
Abby came from a house with many cats and would be a good addition to a home with another cat. She also seems to be okay on her own. Abby is a lovely cat; she can't wait to meet you!
