Here's what the humans have to say about me:
KAYAK is a one year, three-month-old grey and white male cat. Kayak’s story is…well… bizarre. This young man was found on a rock in a river…we kid you not! A kind gentleman, on the river in a kayak, heard this boy screaming from the rock, and went over to him. He climbed right into the boat, much relieved to be off that rock and in human company. This poor cat was so hungry when he came to us he was scarfing down two cans of food every time we fed him! And thirsty, he couldn’t stop drinking, and he slept for days. Kayak is an interesting feline, probably because of this very unusual adventure in his young life.
He was both neutered and declawed when found, and we only can wonder how he ended up on that rock. Kayak seems drawn to the masculine gender, and he has little tolerance for children and other cats. Yet Kayak is very fond of dogs! He is very playful, and he really enjoys perching on a windowsill or in front of a window watching the world go by. Kayak loves to have his head scratched, is quite the talker, and he has beautiful green eyes. If you have patience and lots of love to give, we have the perfect survivor!
At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.
