My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm Izzy. I'm a 10 year old neutered male Pomeranian mix. I weigh about 13 pounds. I'm a super adorable, super sweet little guy with lots of love in my heart to share!

Here's a fun fact about me - I'm a tripawd! That means I only have 3 legs. If you're wondering how I ended up that way, well, I'll tell you. I used to have an owner, but the sad truth is that they didn't treat me very nicely. I was abused by one of my family members on multiple occasions. Another one of my family members was afraid for my safety, so he decided to surrender me to the pound. When I arrived at the shelter, I was in pretty rough shape. I had recently been abused and, unfortunately, my leg was broken so badly that the vet determined that it couldn't be repaired. The only option was to amputate. The surgery was done in mid-January and I'm healing really well. I'm not on even on activity restriction! I'm allowed to go on walks for as long as I want. I will admit that sometimes I get tired, but that's understandable, right?

My physical state may seem like an impairment, but it doesn't slow me down one bit. I still love to go on walks and play with other dogs. Not only do I get along with my canine companions, I also love spending time with my human friends. I'm an all-around awesome pup!
