Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Kali. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh 39 pounds. I have a gorgeous brown coat like a chocolate Lab but it's plush like a Husky.
I was living on the streets when I was picked up by animal control. I've always been a shy, submissive girl and the shelter life just scared the crap out of me. The noise and commotion always made me retreat to the far corner of my kennel and hide my face. I thought if I couldn't see anyone or anything, they couldn't see me either. It was my way of becoming invisible. It comforted me but every potential adopter passed me by because I was too afraid to say hello. I didn't realize my actions could lead to my demise. After 4 months, I was placed on the euthanasia list because the shelter was full and needed my space.
I've been in foster care for just a short time but I'm already blossoming. I've found it's okay to seek the love I so desperately want from humans. I don't need to crawl on my belly and I don't need to hide my face in the corner of my crate! I don't know yet what toys are for but they sure do look like fun when my roommate plays with them.
I'm looking for a quiet home to help me in my journey to experience all life has to offer...and a gentle, loving hand for me to kiss when I need to show my gratitude.
