Bosco's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Bosco's Story...
Bosco is a very handsome short hair black kitty. He is male, with a touch of white on his chest and belly. We believe he was used to being a house cat, but when his owner's moved, they put him outside and left him. Thankfully the new homeowner's contacted us, because he was crying at the door to come in. We estimate he was born around 1/24/15.

Bosco is adjusting to being at our sanctuary. He is very sweet, but shy at initial touch. Once he knows you are going to pet him he immediately warms up to you. He has even rolled over and let us pet his belly. He doesn't seem to be at all cat aggressive, but is adjusting to being around them. He is more timid, than hissy. He would definitely need a home with a non dominant cat, or a quiet home of his own.

Bosco has been neutered, tested for feline leukemia/FIV, wormed, treated for fleas, fully vaccinated for rabies, distemper and leukemia. His adoption fee is $75, and he must be an indoor only kitty. We require a veterinarian reference prior to adoption, which we contact to verify you are a responsible pet owner. We require a cat carrier be brought to the adoption appointment for transport to his new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bosco, a Ashland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
