Otto Von Bismarck's Story...
Otto is a 6 month old Blue Tick Hound mix that came to us all the way from Tennessee. He is a big guy, currently weighing in at about 50 pounds but he is so gentle! By his demeanor, you would never think he was a baby. He is what we call an old soul. Otto is so sweet, so laid back, and oh so handsome! He is going to be the very best friend to his new owner.

Otto is good with other dogs, kids, and is house and crate trained.

He comes fully vetted, vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

If interested in meeting Otto, please fill out our adoption application at heartsforhoundsrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otto Von Bismarck, a Virginia Beach Bluetick Coonhound/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
