Myrtle's Story...
**PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.**

Sweet Myrtle is approximately 10 years young and weighs 8 lbs. She is a hot mess, but we love her. Myrtle is going blind but still sees shadows, a bit deaf, has no teeth, and has a bit of arthritis in her back legs. Despite all that, she is a hoot. She LOVES food and would eat all day if she could. She still enjoys walking around outdoors and lying in the sun. She is quiet and extremely well behaved. Myrtle is great with other dogs and has a wonderful temperament. If you are looking for a chilaxed, go-with-the-flow type of girl, Myrtle wants to be your BFF.

Myrtle is part of our Seniors for Seniors program, meaning her adoption fee will be waived with an approved application by the right senior human. :) If you would like to adopt Myrtle, please fill out an application at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.com.

Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. All of our adoptable dogs are located in the San Antonio area. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Myrtle, a Houston Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Houston, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
