Emmy's Story...
Emmy is 4 years old and if you're looking for a cat who will follow you around the house, carry on kitty conversations with you, and curl up in your lap, Emmy is perfect for you!

Emmy was adopted from us 3 years old. She was a devoted companion cat to an elderly lady. They adored each other. When her adopter had to go to a nursing home, Emmy returned to our rescue. She is currently in a foster home with other cats and 2 cat-friendly dogs. She would love to be a companion cat to someone in need of love and affection.

Emmy is spayed, vaccinations up to date and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV. Caswell Pet Lifeline is a 501c3 organization made up of all volunteers. We have no paid positions or shelter facility. All rescue cats and kittens are cared for in volunteer foster homes. Our adoption fee is $80 and 100% of fee goes to provide vet care for our rescue kitties.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmy, a Mebane Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mebane, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Mebane.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mebane already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mebane breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mebane paves the way for another one to be saved.
